Hospice is all about Quality of Life. By attending to pain control and management of symptoms, our hospice team is able to support patients to have the best possible end-of-life journey.
By seeking hospice care sooner, patients may be able to spend their last months on their own terms: connecting with loved ones, reflecting, and finding peace. Our hospice team will ensure a patient’s choices and hopes are a part of their care.

Hospice Care
Hospice is all about receiving the care and comfort appropriate for the end-of-life journey, and is intended to be a support for the final months of a person’s life. Hospice care can take place in a person’s home or in The Madrone House.

Palliative Care
Palliative care is available to patients who have not received a terminal diagnosis, or who may not be ready for hospice support. It is patient and family-centered and seeks to promote quality of life through the prevention and treatment of suffering.

Grief Support
Grief support and counseling services are offered to family members and friends who have lost a loved one. These free services are available to any community member going through bereavement regardless if hospice services were used.

The Madrone House
The Madrone House was created as a place of shelter and care for people navigating their end-of-life experience. Patients may spend their final days here as comfortably as possible, supported by professional nursing staff alongside family and friends.

Senior Services
Madrone Hospice, Inc. provides a variety of programs through the Madrone Senior Services. These come at no charge to individuals over 60 years of age thanks to donations, assistance from the City of Yreka, and grants.

Shops on Miner Street
Located in historic buildings on Miner Street in beautiful downtown Yreka, our Hospice Shop offers gently used and collectible items, and our Heartisan Boutique provides an assortment of handmade goods. Our shops are staffed primarily by volunteers allowing all proceeds to support the Madrone House.
