Senior Services

Madrone Hospice, Inc. provides a variety of services through the Madrone Senior Services Program.

These services are provided at no charge to qualifying individuals over 60 years of age thanks to donations, assistance from the City of Yreka, and grants directed through PSA-2 – Area Agency on Aging.

MEALS

  • Every week, Monday through Friday, Senior Service cooks prepare fresh, nutritious lunches for area seniors. For qualifying individuals these meals can be delivered right to people’s homes, or seniors can come to Yreka’s Community Center to eat lunch together with friends.

    Additionally, meals can be provided for pickup at the Community Center.

    Yreka’s Community Center is located at 810 N. Oregon St. Yreka, CA.

  • For folks living in Yreka, fresh meals can be delivered right to your door daily Monday — Friday.

    We also deliver to Fort Jones and Montague, but only one day a week. We’ll bring one fresh meal and four frozen meals to keep you covered!

    Yreka's Community Center is open for congregate meals Monday through Friday from 12 - 12:45pm. Seniors may pick up a meal from the Community Center between 11 and 11:30am, but must call to make a reservation to do so by 10am.

TRansportation

  • Madrone’s Senior Services can give you a ride! Monday—Friday, our bus drives through Yreka, stopping at people’s homes to pick them up and help them get where they need to go.

  • Monday — Friday: General Transportation, 9am — 2pm

    Call to arrange a ride for personal appointments!

    Tuesday only: Grocery Outlet, pickups begin at 9am; arrive at 9:30am, leave at 10:30am

    Monday & Thursday only: Wal-Mart, pickups begin at 10:30am; arrive at 11:30am, leave at 1:30pm

    Be aware, pickup and drop off times will vary depending on the day, weather, and number of folks riding the bus.
